Location: Sanctuary Camelback Mountain Resort & Spa Be familiar with all standards of proper service etiquette and adhere to these standards throughout guests' dining experience. Attend all scheduled staff meetings and supplemental training sessions. Be aware of all liquor laws as well as company and departmental policies regarding consumption of alcoholic beverages. Be familiar with emergency safety measures. Know all menu items including ingredients, preparation, required condiments and specific service. Expediently take orders from guests and expedite as soon as prepared from kitchen. Check side duty list for opening and closing duties. Obtain condiments, beverages, etc., after guests have finished, pre-bus table. Obtain completed check from microsand present to guest and finalize check in system according to method of settlement. At the end of service, reset tables for next service period. Obtain service report from micros and finalize all settlement transactions. Responsible and accountable for all unsigned checks and report these to the manager. Determine gratuity distribution according to set departmental standards. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that enables getting along with guests, vendors, co-workers, and management. Perform any other duties as assigned by the Restaurant Manager and/or the Assistant Restaurant Manager.

Work within the framework of a quality Food and Beverage service team. Serve food to guests in a personable, courteous and professional manner ensuring a positive dining experience while caring enough to do it well by adhering to the Sanctuary Commitments.
Skills / Requirements
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY: Must be extremely organized; able to expedite multiple orders completely and correctly and detailed orientated. Previous food and beverage experience REQUIRED. Current Food Handler's Card. Ability to service a five-table station without assistance during typical service demand. Strong working knowledge of the micros ordering system and other check processing procedures for dining room service. Have a strong knowledge of wines, to include able to give descriptions and explain about textures, etc. Good communication essential. Relay guest complaints and comments to supervisor. Must be motivated and a self starter. Take the initiative to identify and undertake projects during slow periods. Ability to lift moderate weights and remain on feet for prolonged period of time. Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather when necessary. Ability to carry loaded trays on slippery surfaces. Ability to handle hot plates and equipment. Pleasant personality to effectively deal with guests; questions and service, and to contribute to the overall atmosphere of teamwork with fellow employees. Strong attention to detail a must. Ability to listen effectively, to speak and write English clearly. Has a sincere desire to provide the utmost in guest service.
