Department: POOL STAFF

Reports to: Food Full Time

Work within the framework of a quality Food and Beverage service team. Serve cocktails and food to guests in a personable, courteous and professional manner while caring enough to do it well by adhering to the Sanctuary Commitments.


  • Be familiar with all standards of proper service etiquette and adhere to these standards throughout our guests dining experience.
  • Offer misting service, towels and ice water to guests.
  • Greet guest and take beverage order.
  • Service items from a limited menu.
  • Know all menu items including ingredients, preparation, required condiments and specific service.
  • Knowledgeable of all liquor laws as well as company and departmental policies regarding consumption of alcoholic beverages.
  • Know all spirited beverages available including ingredients, garnish and specific service.
  • Responsible and accountable for all unsigned guest checks and report these to the manager.
  • Complete requisition for all required paper goods, beverage supplies and perishable items.
  • Prepare drinks and garnish to standard recipes.
  • Ensure pool tables and chairs are clean and orderly. Maintain cleanliness of these tables and chairs throughout the service period.
  • Pick up litter around service and guest area when necessary.
  • After guests have departed, remove dirty dishware, wipe and reset table.
  • Check side duty list for opening and closing procedures.
  • Be familiar with emergency safety measures.
  • Determine gratuity distribution according to set department standards.
  • Attend all scheduled staff meetings and supplemental training sessions.
  • Obtain completed check from micros, present to the guest and finalize the check in system according to method of settlement.
  • Professionally service guests' poolside without assistance during typical service demand.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that enables getting along with guests, vendors, co-workers, and management.
  • Perform additional duties as requested by the Pool Manager.

  • Skills / Requirements


  • Food and beverage experience preferred.

  • Current Food Handler's Card.
  • Ability to lift moderate weights and remain on feet for a prolonged period of time.
  • Ability to carry food and beverages up and down stairs safely and professionally.

  • A sincere desire to provide the utmost in guest service.
  • Neat appearance.
  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills
  • Pleasant personality to effectively deal with guest questions and service, and to contribute to the overall atmosphere of teamwork with fellow employees.
  • Strong attention to detail a must.
  • Ability to listen effectively, to speak and write English clearly.


  • Company will provide uniform. Employee responsible for keeping uniform neat and clean. Must adhere to appearance code guidelines as set forth in the Employee Handbook.
  • Employee will provide white sneakers, white socks, and belt. No cell phones.
  • Nametag must be worn at all times.
  • Parking, eating & smoking in designated employee areas only. One meal per shift is provided through the employee cafeteria only.
