JOB SUMMARY


This position contributes to Sanctuary success by providing support for the guest service operations.  This position is responsible for providing guests transportation to anywhere on property and to designated stops outside the resort.  All must be accomplished in a reliable, safe and courteous manner; with a focus on living the Sanctuary Commitments and our Promise of Care Enough to do it well.



JOB FUNCTIONS


Note: the following duties and responsibilities are not all-inclusive


  • Greet all guests with friendly and sincere greeting according to Sanctuary Standards.
  • Transport guests safely and accurately to property locations as well as designated sites outside the resort.

  • Respond to transportation requests promptly and safely.

  • Assist Bell, Valet and Greeter staff at times of need.

  • Answer and respond to guest questions with a smile and positive voice.  Answer questions and offer assistance giving accurate information regarding outlet hours, resort services and directions. 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he/she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.

  • Considerable knowledge of the city and surrounding areas to the resort.
  • Ability to work a variety of day/night and weekend shifts.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and/or verbal instructions.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally in English.

  • Ability to make empowered decisions to benefit our guests.

  • Ability to effectively deal with internal and external guests, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy.

  • Ability to read English language sufficient to ascertain information from luggage tags and claim checks to write numbers and names on claim checks and rooming lists.

  • Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry or otherwise move packages, boxes and luggage up to 70lbs. continuously throughout the shift.

  • Ability to stand, walk, and/or sit and continuously perform essential job functions.

  • Sufficient manual dexterity in one hand to be able to load and unload luggage.

  • Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling and walking significant distances on property.

  • Ability to work in adverse weather conditions.



QUALIFICATIONS


Education

High School diploma or equivalent.

Related Work Experience

Prior guest service related experience required, preferably in the hospitality industry.

Certifications

Valid driver’s license. Clean driving record. Drivers license record check will be conducted periodically.
