Spa Boutique Supervisor
JOB SUMMARY
The Resort Spa Boutique Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the spa boutique, ensuring exceptional guest service, effective merchandising, and maximizing sales performance. This role involves managing inventory, training staff, and creating a welcoming, luxurious environment that reflects the resort's brand and enhances the overall guest experience.
JOB FUNCTIONS

- Leadership & Team Management:
- Supervise and mentor boutique staff, fostering a positive and professional environment.
- Train staff on product knowledge, sales techniques, and guest engagement.
- Create staff schedules and ensure proper coverage during peak hours.
- Provide feedback for performance evaluations.
- Guest Experience:
- Ensure every guest receives an elevated and personalized shopping experience.
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests in a timely, courteous manner.
- Maintain high standards of customer service and professionalism in line with the resort’s values.
- Sales & Merchandising:
- Support sales to meet or exceed boutique revenue targets.
- Boost sales through promotions, cross-selling, and upselling.
- Ensure proper display of products in a visually appealing and brand-consistent manner.
- Regularly monitor inventory levels and ensure stock is well-organized and adequately replenished.
- Inventory Management:
- Coordinate ordering and receiving of boutique products, including spa-related items, apparel, and accessories.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to minimize shrinkage and manage stock effectively.
- Maintain relationships with vendors to source high-quality products that align with the spa’s brand.
- Reporting & Analytics:
- Track sales performance and provide regular reports to the Spa Director.
- Provide recommendations in product offerings, promotions, and merchandising strategies.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with the spa and resort teams to create a seamless guest experience.
- Assist in marketing initiatives, events, and special promotions to drive foot traffic to the boutique.
- Ensure the boutique complies with all health, safety, and resort standards.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he/she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
- Proven experience in retail, preferably in a luxury resort, spa, or boutique setting.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage inventory, track sales, and use retail management software.
- Knowledge of spa products and wellness trends is a plus.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Must be able to show initiative in job performance, including anticipating what needs to be done before it becomes a necessity.
- Must routinely meet deadlines, and be detailed oriented.
- Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
- Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by guests and co-workers.

- Attend all meetings and training as scheduled by department manager.
- Always report to your manager/supervisor when leaving your work area for meal or break.
- Accurately and regularly record work time via resort time clock.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Requires extending arms, bending and stooping to reach materials.
- Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of guests’ needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education | High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree in business, retail, or hospitality management preferred. |
Related Work Experience | Minimum of two to three (2-3) years of retail experience with at least one year in a supervisory role. Experience in a resort spa environment is a plus.
